The $6 Billion Woman and the $600 Million Girl is a report into Pelvic Pain in Australia.

It looks at:

– The extent of pelvic pain in Australia and how much pelvic pain costs Australia

– Current Australian Government Women’s Health Policies with regard to pelvic pain

– Current problems with health care delivery to girls and women with pain

– Ways to improve the current health care system

The Pelvic Pain Report is an Australian initiative to address human and fiscal burdens associated with conditions causing pelvic pain. The intended audiences for the Pelvic Pain Report are state and federal governments, funders, clinicians, consumers, allied health care professionals, researchers and research funders.

The report was released in November 2011 by the Pelvic Pain Steering Committee comprising Dr Susan Evans, Ms Deborah Bush QSM and Professor Thierry Vancaille.

The report was endorsed by the Australia New Zealand Faculty of Pain Medicine and PainAustralia.
